Last year, there was a lot of chatter and trepidation about a particular prophecy of the Japanese manga artist, Ryo Tatsuki. While things did not turn out exactly as she had seen in her precognitive dream, she did get a lot of things right; as she has done throughout her prophetic life.
The final catastrophic prophecy in her 1999 manga book called, “The Future I Saw” is due to occur by the end of September, 2026 – which means by the end of this month!
As we can already see, our world is going through a season of disasters, and we could do without any more of them. But, at the same time, it is good to be aware and vigilant, without falling into fear or paranoia.
Before going into Tatsuki’s final prophecy, let’s revisit some of her previous precognitive dreams that came true – and not so true.
Ryo Tatsuki started having vivid, precognitive dreams when she was young. Her dreams varied from mundane, private matters to catastrophic events of global importance. For years, she kept notes and made sketches of her dreams in her “dream diary”.
Then she began to notice a pattern. Some of her dreams came true, days, months or even years later. She also figured out that her dreams came true after a certain number of days or years after seeing it, and those numbers are multiples of 5: for instance, after 5 days, 15 days, 5 years, 15 years and so on.
In 1999, she published a manga book titled, “The Future I Saw”. The comic book contained illustrations of 15 precognitive dreams that she had between 1980 and 1995, with brief notes in the margins.
At first, her book received a lukewarm response. After all, by the time the book was published in 1999, many of her dreams had already come true. People are more interested in predictions about the future, and not about events that have already happened.

But things changed dramatically after Japan was hit by the devastating Tohuku earthquake and tsunami on March 11, 2011.
A few people remembered that, on the cover of her book, Ryo Tatsuki had included the phrase, “A great disaster will occur in March 2011”. That immediately sparked off a nationwide interest in her book in Japan. People looked into her older dream prophecies and found some more that matched up with major events.

A List of Accurate Predictions
Here’s a list of some of the precognitive dream prophecies of Ryo Tatsuki that have already materialized.
1. Freddie Mercury's Death (1991)
On November 24, 1976, Tatsuki had a vivid dream when she saw a clear image of Freddie Mercury dying while performing on stage. Freddie Mercury passed away on November 24, 1991, exactly 15 years later.
2. Princess Diana's death (1997)
In 1992, Tatsuki had a precognitive dream in which she was walking down a long corridor inside a palace. At the end of the hallway, on the wall, there was a portrait of a blonde woman holding a baby. The name written on the painting was "Diana". In her diary, she drew the lady who appeared in her dream and scribbled a note, “Diana? Died?” 5 years later, Princess Diana died in a car crash in Paris.
3. 1995 Kobe Earthquake
In January 1995, Tatsuki had a dream in which an old man led her to a place with a cracked ground, and she got the feeling that it was the city of Kobe. 15 days later, the Great Hanshin earthquake struck Kobe on Jan 17, 1995, resulting in over 5000 deaths. It was Japan's second deadliest earthquake of the 20th century.
4. 2011 Tohuku Earthquake and Tsunami
On the cover of her 1999 manga "The Future I Saw", Tatsuki had written, "A great disaster will occur in March 2011". As we know, the devastating undersea Tohuku earthquake and tsunami struck Japan on March 11, 2011. This 9.1 earthquake was the most powerful ever recorded in Japan. In the Sendai area of Japan, the tsunami waves traveled at 700 km/h, and reached up to 10 km inland.
5. Covid-19 Pandemic (2020)
Tatsuki’s 1999 manga contained a statement that, "in 25 years, an unknown virus will come in 2020, disappear after peaking in April, and appear again 10 years later."
This is an obvious reference to the Covid-19 virus, and her timing of the event is eerily accurate. The fact that Tatsuki believes that this virus could return in 2030 sounds spooky. It makes sense, though, from the perspective of the deep-state cabals. Why waste a perfectly good, lab-designed, virus after releasing it only once?
6. The 2025 Kamchatka Tsunami
In the year 2021, Tatsuki came out with a reprint of her 1999 manga, in which she had added a new, terrifying prediction: a catastrophic undersea volcanic eruption could occur somewhere between Japan and the Philippines in July 2025. This would make the waters of the ocean boil and trigger a tsunami bigger than the one in 2011 that would affect many countries in the Pacific Ring of Fire.
In the manga she wrote, "The future version of me said: 'It’s not over. The real beginning is from 2025.’”

This particular prophecy did not come true in the way Tatsuki had predicted. While there was a Pacific tsunami in July, 2025, its magnitude was nowhere close to what she had seen in her dream.
The event which triggered the tsunami was not an undersea volcano, but a powerful 8.8 earthquake that struck off the coast of the Kamchatka Peninsula on 29th July, 2025. It was the most powerful earthquake recorded worldwide since the 2011 Tohoku earthquake of Japan. The quake triggered a Pacific-wide tsunami which turned out to be much weaker than initially expected, with waves of 1 m or less in most places.
The earthquake and tsunami were immediately followed in the next few days by the eruption of seven Kamchatka volcanoes - an occurrence that had not been seen on the Kamchatka Peninsula in nearly 300 years.

Even though the catastrophe was nowhere as severe as Tatsuki had seen in her dream, the fact is that, Tatsuki again got the month and year of an earthquake, tsunami and volcanic eruptions right! That is uncanny.
This goes beyond science as we know it. Ryo Tatsuki seems to tuning into a cosmic source field in her dreams. Although her dreams may not be accurate in all aspects, they should be given due consideration given her amazing track record.
Earthquake & Tsunami Prophecy for 2026
The final precognitive dream recorded in Ryo Tatsuki’s 1999 manga is that of a catastrophic earthquake and tsunami which could hit Japan in 2026.
Tatsuki said that a powerful earthquake would strike near the Kanagawa Prefecture of Japan, which would be followed by a tsunami that will devastate the coastline. She said that this will happen between June and September, 2026. She felt that it may be caused by a Nankai megathrust earthquake.
In an interview with Japan Today, she said, “But in the case of the Nankai earthquake, I was also washed away by a tsunami. As shown in my illustrations, extensive parts of Kanagawa Prefecture are inundated, including the area around Aokibashi in the Kinko-cho area of Yokohama's Kanagawa Ward.” Not leaving anything to chance, Tatsuki said that she plans to move out of Kanagawa Prefecture before June 2026.
Asked if she had a message for readers, Tatsuki responded, “If a major earthquake occurs, even if you are living in a place that was never hit by a tsunami back to your grandparents' generation, evacuate at once!”
Nankai megathrust earthquakes are very powerful earthquakes that occur along the Nankai Trough, which is a subduction zone off the coast of southeast Japan, where the Philippine Sea Plate subducts beneath the Eurasian (or Amur) Plate.
The immense pressure and friction between these plates can cause them to lock up, and when the stress becomes too great, they rupture, resulting in a megathrust earthquake of magnitude 8 or greater.

This BBC report from December, 2025, provides more details about these powerful quakes that occur periodically every 100 years or so.
“Earthquakes along the Nankai Trough - an area of seismic activity which stretches along Japan's Pacific coast - have already been responsible for thousands of deaths. In 1707, a rupture along its entire 600km length caused the second-biggest earthquake ever recorded in Japan and was followed by the eruption of Mount Fuji. These so-called “megathrust” earthquakes tend to strike every hundred years or so, often in pairs: the last ones were in 1944 and 1946. Experts say there is a 70% to 80% chance of a magnitude 8 or 9 quake striking somewhere along the trough in the next 30 years, with worst-case scenarios suggesting it would cause trillions in damage, and potentially kill hundreds of thousands.”
The Japanese Government has taken the possibility of a major Nankai earthquake event very seriously. Over the last couple of years, the government has been implementing solutions for speedy warnings and evacuations.
This year we have already witnessed a number of powerful earthquakes in the Pacific Ring of Fire – in Japan, Philippines, Venezuela, Colombo and Indonesia – between April and August, some of which have caused catastrophic damage. Clearly, increased subsurface magma activity is going on in the Ring of Fire. This increases the odds of more such disruptive events occurring in the near future.
How do we deal with these kinds of prophecies of catastrophic events in the near future? Certainly not by reacting with fear or anxiety; nor by dismissing it outright. A mixture of caution and quiet optimism is the preferable way.
It is good to exercise caution and avoid travel to places which might be potentially affected. We should remember that prophetic dreams do not, necessarily, turn out the way they are seen – the outcome could be far more muted. After all, Ryo Tatsuki’s precognitive dream about an eruption of Mount Fuji in August 2021, did not materialize.
And we must not underestimate the potential of our own consciousness to shape outcomes; when we consciously and willingly send out goodwill to others, the power of our mind can shift the consequences to more favorable ones.
In the end, we need to keep the bigger picture in mind. We are going through a period of shift between the Yugas or World Ages – as I have described in my book, Yuga Shift – and our planet is getting into a cleansing mode. As a result, dormant processes of purging and readjustments have been awakened. The best way to get through this intense phase of transformation is by aligning with our higher self, protecting our inner peace, and manifesting our soul gifts in service to others.
